Revolver Scans- Posted by: (9.28.05)

Arriving just in time for the release of Dark Light comes the November issue of Revolver Magazine. HIM has worked its way into this publication before, but this time our Lord Valo's beautiful mug graces the cover. The cover story is "Cult Bands" and, of course, HIM is the top cult band discussed. Others include our beloved Turbonegro and Clutch. Also, aside from a 6 page article, there's a 2 page center-fold poster of the band as well as a Dark Light sticker. I would safely say this is one of HIM's biggest bit of American press, thus far. I picked up a copy of this today, and with the help from my piss-poor scanner, you can check things out.

Expect to see some more information coming your way today or tomorrow on the release of Dark Light, as well as the position of "Wings of a Butterfly" on the active rock charts. Also, for those of you who don't check it 10 times a day like I do, Heartagram.com has put up a brand new design. It's all flash, has some cool new features, so I like it. That's all for now.

Hail Hilary- Posted by: (9.24.05)

In a drunken rampage at 4am, Shane pointed out that HIM was #5 on MTV's "Top 5 Hottest Videos" chart for "Wings of a Butterfly." Looks like HIM won't be in your pocket much longer. HIM deserve whatever credit and attention they get.

Shane's biggest fear is having Ville guest star on "Nick Cannon's Wild'n Out!" But I don't think we have to worry about Ville being on Cribs. He doesn't even own a car. But I will admit that seeing HIM within inches of a headline that says "Hail Hilary" is unsettling. But finally the HIM explosion is under way!

Dark Light Lyrics- Posted by: (9.21.05)

Wednesday Update from Shane: Today was the magical day that Radio & Records updated the US singles charts. Guess who debuted at 47 on the Active Rock Chart? "Wings of a Butterfly" is the first HIM single to ever crack the charts in this country. "Join Me" was on the Alternative "Going For Ads" section last year, but never made the actual chart. Last week, "Wings of a Butterfly" was tops on the "Most Added" group, with 13 ads. This week, bingo, it's 47. Quite exciting, and hopefully next week after the release of the album, it will climb, climb, climb! That's all for now.

I know all of you have been streaming the hell out of HotTopic, Heartagram, and MTV.it and I also know that all of you are just dying to sing along.

*Update 9.27* The lyrics are now correct. While there are some discrepancies between the jewelcase book an the internet book, these are based on what Ville seems to be singing.

The Night Belongs to HIM- Posted by: (9.16.05)

I wanted to wait 10 more days, but after playing the leaked version of "Vampire Heart," "Poison Heart," and "Something Diabolical" at least 30 times each , I was so fucking amped I had to upload the new look. I hope you guys like it. Some sections aren't quite tweaked to perfection yet, so bear with us.

Anyway, the new shit is sooo fucking good...I have to say that I'm more excited for Dark Light than I was for Love Metal.

Dark Light will be in stores in 10 days, and 11 days internationally, but starting Tuesday the 20th, you can hear the full record streaming at HotTopic. There will be a special limited edition of the album that will be covered with a Heartagram band - so make sure to grab an early copy in stores.

It may just be my eyes, but doesn't that look like some sort of Heartagram band on the cover there? I assume this is their way of keeping the cover a secret, but giving us a bit more.

Feel free to click on the small picture to make it "big."

HIM will be ringing in the new year at HellDone Festival in Finland. It's a three-day festival from Thursday 29, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 of December. Go to the official Myspace to hear "Behind the Crimson Door." It kicks ass!

My 6 week trip is over, and I will finally be able to be at home, working on the site. I am currently transferring the site to the new look, ordering the new server and we'll be ready to fly very soon.

We're Back- Posted by: (9.1.05)

Sorry about the downtime. All the rumors you heard weren't true at all. I pay my bills, I didn't quit, I didn't die. The truth of the matter is that we used up all the bandwidth for August. We had used half of it early in the month. This is why I was bitching about getting a dedicated server, which will happen this month since I never want this to happen again.

Shane's Non-HIM Update: Well well well, look who is back. I just thought I'd let everyone know that while the site was down, I was busy in Minneapolis watching the Rock Adio Tour. The Knives, Fireball Ministry, and CKY all rocked my world. I also purchased a digital camera beforehand... and I'm quite glad I did. Here's some photos for you to look over. (And yeah, I met Jess Margera.)
