Demos, Anyone?- Posted by:
(7.15.04) |
|
¤ DarkSecretClub
recently spoke to Bam (Margera) and received some exclusive
information. Bam said there is an entire series of Razorblade
Romance demos that Ville carries on his laptop which
he shares with him through iPod. "Some of those songs
sound a little heavier with some different lyrics."
Bam also said that there is even a joke song
called "Kuis, Kuis, Kuis" sung in Finnish but
that Ville is extremely cautious of keeping these demos
off the Internet.
"Most people think Deep Shadows &
Brilliant Highlights is too mellow but the demos of
that album are way heavier. I wish they would put out there
demos cause I think some would like it better." Bam
said.
Also, he said that Jimmy Pop may release some of the Love
Metal demos on a 7-inch soon. Finally, Ville sings on
the last track of the new Bloodhound Gang album due out
in October. The track is called "Something Diabolikal"
and apparently has a "Depeche Mode" feeling to
it....which is what we said about "Too Happy to Be
Alive." (Credit: DarkSecretClub)

¤ This is kinda exciting: HIM's music will be featured
on two new releases. The upcoming compilation MTV Headbanger's
Ball and upcoming Resident Evil soundtrack will feature
"Join Me" and "Your Sweet Six Six Six."

I'm unsure which song is on which CD (but I bet you can
guess.) Either way, it's great exposure for our little Finnish
band.

DVD Information & Mo'- Posted by:
(7.11.04) |

¤ We can expect the long-awaited HIM
DVD to drop in the Fall. According to Ville, there will
be loads of interviews, a concert, and a special of some
kind...not to mention all of their music videos.
The new album is expected in Spring 2005.
The songs are already written, but now they're taking the
time out now to arrange and record them. (Credit: NinaValo)
¤ In a minor update, I've added a
4th disc to the Video
Collection. It now includes:
Solitary Man
For You (Jyrki 1997)
Buried Alive By Love (Top of the Pops)
Wicked Game (Terremoto 2003)
Beyond Redemption (Taubertal Festival 2003)
Sweet Pandemonium (Hultsfred 2004)
Soul on Fire (Tavastia 2004)
The Sacrament (Comet 2003)
This Fortress of Tears (Taubertal Festival 2003)
Circle of Fear (Hamburg 2003)
And Love Said No (Tavastia 2003)
The Path (Lycabettus 2003)
Resurrection (D.C. 2004)
Right Here In My Arms (New Jersey 2004)
And Love Said No <-- Non-Shitty VHS Version
I wanted to kind of provide another version
of "Love Metal Live" on this one...but Funeral
of Hearts and Endless Dark are on Disc 3.

¤ Here's
the video, kids! It's a shitty VHS rip, but it'll give
you an idea. Bam directed the video once again, for those
of you who didn't know. (Credit: HIM

¤ HIMMania has posted several screenshots
of the "And Love Said No" video. From what it
looks like, it reminds me of the German version of the "Wicked
Game" video. (Credit: HIMMania)

House Notes and More- Posted by:
(7.1.04) |
|
¤ Alright kids, everything is up and
running now. The site should look a bit cleaner and run
a bit smoother now. I could bore you to death with details,
but let's not. Or shall I?
Anyway, I've added a new Review
section, where you guys can catch show reviews, album
reviews, and uh...other reviews. Also, I've added a Newsletter
feature. More details can be found there, so check that
out. Should be fun, I think/hope. Still no Forum, but that's
because I personally hate them. I was going to do a Chat
room, but it bogs down the server, so I ditched that idea.
Also, for those of you who had links on the
Links page, I'm afraid that they have been deleted.
The reason is that we switched to a new format where everyone
can add their link to our site, without the middle man.
Best of all, the more you send in, the more we send out,
and eventually you could have a permanent link on the main
pages. Great idea for smaller sites, so add
your site now!
¤ But let's get down to brass tax
here, HIM has been CONFIRMED to return to the US in November
and December. What has NOT been confirmed yet is when. As
soon as we find out anything, it'll be posted here.
¤ Credit to Tyler G. for this information:
This was posted at the BMMB by FlySin:
"I got some info for everyone on this
song...
While the HIM US tour was going on as some of you may know,
I went to many of the concerts. In doing so, I met a lot
of people in the Kill Hannah camp whom I am still in contact
with today. Well, being on that tour, KH got very friendly
with HIM. I sent this song to a guy and he loved it. Right
away he contacted Seppo about it. Seppo said that this was
a NEW song, not an old one made back in the RR era or any
other HIM era. And, the song is officially called...
Too
Happy To Be Alive
so that settles everyone's controversy. Now everyone can
change the names of their mp3s"
¤ And of course, what would an update
be without a few more Bootlegs
to post?
