¤ Here goes another "DVD release" post. It seems that HIM will release a European DVD in late April or early May entitled Love Metal Archives Vol. 1 and will apparently contain 53 songs in video form or live form, rare interviews and other special crap.

Before you make a mess in your pants, keep in mind that 53 songs is a lot of material, so who knows how this is going to pan out. Then again, this may be like the other DVD rumors (though this was posted on Heartagram) and may never see the light of day so don't hold your breath.

¤ HIM is confirmed to play at the Rusirock Festival this year. The festival runs from July 8 - July 10th. More information can be found at Ruisrock.fi (Credit: HIMforFans)

¤ HIM is also confirmed to play at the Download Festival on June 11. Other bands set to play are Slayer, Slipknot, System of a Down, Velvet Revolver, Garbage and Billy Idol. Black Sabbath is scheduled to perform the same day as HIM...can you smell it?

¤ In case you didn't know, the US release of Love Metal sold over 10k copies in the first week, making it #1 on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart. Nawwwice! Things are looking good for HIM.

¤ Note from Shane: I just got my February 18 edition of Entertainment Weekly and for the first time there is a mention of our favorite Finlanders. Sadly, it's just a small blurb in a section discussing band's logos... and the writers didn't do their homework and don't really know what their talking about when it comes to the heartagram. I scanned it for you. I shall now go back into hiding.

¤ Hey kids, this is just a friendly reminder that Love Metal will be released in the US today. It's the jewel case version, with all the tracks except for "Love's Requiem."

¤ I know it's been slow around here, but it's sort of HIM's "off season" so to speak. There's nothing going on, so there's nothing to report. Why not keep yourself busy with the forums? They've been growing steadily and who knows what you'll find.

¤ In a bit of good news, we're having our first contest! To make the site self-supporting, I've added a donation section. It'll help us get a bigger and better server meaning more media for you. In addition, we'll be adding your name in a drawing that is to be held at the end of the month. The winner will get a prize option between 2 or 3 items.
