¤ According to Ilta-Sanomat HIM has signed a new contract with a new label. The article doesn't really say anything else other than that they have signed a deal with Sire (sub-label of Warner) and the band gets worldwide distribution. HIM manager Seppo Vesterinen didn't comment more, but still he confirmed the deal as the biggest ever singed by Finnish musicians with international record company. ¤ Miss Julie, a friend of mine, recently attended Curiosa in Dallas this past weekend and said she talked to Melissa Auf der Maur after her set. Apparently der Maur has been given a contract to tour with HIM when they return in November and December.

I guess that's kinda cool...I heard a song of hers on the radio and thought it was pretty neat. That's right, I said "neat."

¤ Because I love most of you, I feel the need to clear up some things up. Recently, many of you have e-mailed me telling me that you've gone to US shows expecting HIM (as advertised) but found that you got HiM (the other "him" from Chicago.)

A friend of mine said that a newspaper ad for the show had even featured a PICTURE of Valo and Linde! So as you can imagine, many people are getting confused and paying money to see a band that doesn't quite look or sound like our favorite Finns. In other words, spending money to find out that you wasted money on a shitty band. If that doesn't piss you off...well...yeah.

Now then - being the conspiracy theorist I am - this strikes me as odd. Could the shitty, hypocritical "him" be using HIM's newfound US reputation to trick people into going to the shows? Or is this all just confusion?

More than likely, it's the latter.

But this is just to let you know that NO; though I've been accused, I have NOT been holding out on US tour info. There AREN'T any dates scheduled yet. You'll have to wait until November or December...but until then, save your $9 and go get extra full at Taco Bell; I hear they have a new kick-ass menu. Better yet, split the $9 and take a friend, fat-ass!
